The University of Wyoming (UW) is a university located in Laramie, Wyoming. It was founded in March 1886 and opened in September 1887.

The university is made up of seven (7) colleges:

The university offers over 120 undergraduates, graduate, and certificate programs. In addition to the on-campus classes in Laramie, the university also has Outreach School which offers more than 41 degrees, certificate, and endorsement programs to distance learners across the state and beyond.

These Outreach School programs are delivered through the use of online and video conferencing technologies.

The Outreach School operates nine regional centers around Wyoming, including many on community college campuses, to provide Wyoming citizens with access to a university degree without requiring them to relocate to Laramie.
