ABOUT CENTRAL UNIVERSITY
The International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) created Central University in Accra, Ghana. Mensah Otabil started it in 1988 as a pastoral training institute.

It was known as the Central Bible College until June 1991. In 1993, it was renamed Central Christian College, and in 1998, it was renamed Central University College.
Central University College was elevated to the rank of a full university in 2016 and is now known as Central University.
The university’s declared mission is to provide “integrated and biblically-based higher education with special attention to the needs of the African continent.” It is now Ghana’s largest private university.
